In the middle of a...

Liked: Hotel was average. Way overpriced.
Disliked: The neighborhood is an absolute mess. Not safe. Junkies, crackheads and homeless people all over the place. How this hotel charges what they do is criminal. The only reason why they get away with $80 a day for valet parking alone is because it's not safe to find a spot and leave your car outside on your own .Never mind if you have a teenage daughter with you. Never again. It's dead center of the "tenderloin" area, which needs to be leveled with fire and then flooded with bleach and Lysol. Never again.

Disappointing

Liked: The hotel as a building is ok, the front desk workers were not. The room was clean and tidy, small but comfortable for one person.
Disliked: The front desk workers not good. I did not get all the instructions for the breakfast, which was included in the price, on the first day they reserved a very high amount on my bill, for which I requested an explanation at check out, they did not even apologize for the mistake, which I have not been able to resolve to this day. I booked through booking.com, they charged me almost twice as much. You have to pay 80 USD per day for parking! The street and road around the hotel, don't ask, zombies, tents, strange people, chaos, I do not recommend!!

Nice hotel sam's

Liked: Hotel was very smart with good public transport connections from the airport & into downtown but it's in a dodgy neighbourhood
Disliked: The Tenderloin district is a mess with homeless drugged up people on the streets outside the hotel

Liked: The location was not good. Homeless everywhere, gun shots at night.
Disliked: The location was bad....felt safe in the hotel. Did NOT leave the hotel until we checked out.
