Good
Liked: Everything was clean
Disliked: Rooms are old fashion making it really hard for easy stay as a traveler. TV is on a table that has the same height of the bed which means cant watch while on the bed.

Good
Liked: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They gave us a free upgraded room for our honeymoon and switched rooms when an event they were having in the penthouse was too loud.
Disliked: Bad part of the city, lots of homeless if you walked to the right of the hotel, made me not want to go out after dark.

Exceptional
Liked: I dont want to say too much because then this hidden gem will become popular, crowded, and expensive. But just the perfect hotel for a SF getaway.
Disliked: Nothing. It was great.

Do not stay at the...
Liked: The location to the Warfield Theater was excellent. I was in San Francisco for a concert, and the Warfield was a 5 min. walk. The food at the restaurant down stairs was decent.
Disliked: I paid over $700.00 for two nights based on the location. I expected a nice hotel. I booked a room with two beds months in advance to ensure I did not have to sleep in the same bed as my brother. On the day of our arrival, the manager called me and asked if two beds were important. I explained that I paid $700 for two beds, and that it was very important. The manager sounded like he understood. Upon our arrival, the same manager apologized stating a large group had arrived, and that I was not going to get two beds. I was given a room with one bed, and one cot (for over $350.00 per night mind you). He generously offered to deduct $10.00 off the room per night, or comp a dinner with drinks. At this point, knowing I was stuck, and could use drinks, I took the offer. After a few glasses of wine, an appetizer, dinner and dessert, I felt like I somewhat recouped some of my losses...until the bill arrived and I was informed that only dinner and one drink each was covered. Got me again. The room itself was lackluster, and there is no air conditioning. If you are OK with city noise, city smells and sirens all night, you can leave the window open. Not sure what the warmer season will bring as I stayed in February. The one bed we did have in the room was comfortable. The expensive shelter cot....not so much. The bathroom was OK, but there was a large blister in the ceiling which was ready to burst. I figured, with my luck, it would pop....but I guess it has eyes on the next guest.
