Rooms are simple and beachy, with wood furnishings and light colors. Some even include a kitchenette—perfect for late-night bites or a morning coffee after a big night out.

Why Concert-goers love it

This quiet, coastal motel is just a short drive from popular Long Island venues, making it a convenient base for live music lovers. Being set away from the main city buzz means quieter evenings—ideal for recharging after loud gigs. With 24-hour front desk service, flexible arrivals are a breeze, even after the encore finishes.

Who this Hotel is great for

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the rooms with kitchenettes are a big plus for those who like to DIY their snacks. You’ll find several local eateries within a short drive or walk, and many offer late-night bites. While there’s no breakfast buffet, the beachside location makes grabbing a morning coffee with a view easy.

Nightlife Options

This motel is all about the mellow vibe. While it doesn’t have its own bar or live music, you’re just a short ride from local bars and lounges in Locust Valley and beyond. It’s a great pick if you want to be close to the action—but not sleep in the middle of it.

What People Say

Guests love the beachfront location, saying it’s “peaceful, clean, and perfect for a low-key getaway.” Many highlight the friendly 24-hour service and appreciate the rooms with kitchenettes. Travelers also mention the easy parking and quiet surroundings as big perks after concerts.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the decor is a bit dated and the motel is more about comfort than luxury. If you’re after trendy lounges or high-end finishes, this might not be your scene—but the charm and value win over most music travelers.

The Bottom Line

If you’re heading to a Long Island concert and want a budget-friendly stay by the beach, the Tides Inn at Stehli Beach delivers simple comfort in a peaceful location.

Cheesy Motel at Bayville Long...

Liked: The room was clean and the location is located across from the beach.
Disliked: The owner is a con artist! SHAME!! Even though I paid for an extra night through this app almost $200. She threatened that if I didn't pay her more money for the room, we would have to leave. I had to give her another $10 to stay. I had previously paid for the 2 nights before, but we stayed another night for an unexpected family matter. When I went to the office to pay for another night. I was told I had to get special permission from the owner. Who questioned me and said, I could stay. It was weird. I had to recheck in for the extra day. The owner wrote me a hand written receipt for the $10 that said it was a room upgrade, but it wasn't. Also, the place advertises, they have a pool, but what they don't tell you in the advertisement is you have to pay $2 per person per day to use the pool. It's on a typed paper taped to the window in the office. The lobby is cluttered and you can't even see through the glass. Another weird thing, if the door to the office is open, which is just as cluttered, it is the only way to hear the person to communicate, because you can't see the person behind the glass or hear them with all the papers taped to it.The owner will nickel and dime you for every cent She can get from you. the place is extremely run down. The umbrellas at the pool were all broken and tore up. The furnishings in the room are cheap. If you want hand soap or anything, you have to buy it from the piles of stuff in the office. Fortunately we had our own. Also, checking in would not give any sort of a receipt with checking in. The amount of money that is being charged, and the way she nickels and dimes you the place could look a lot better. It literally looks like a hooker motel in the middle of multimillion-dollar homes with a partially working neon sign on the roof of the motel.

I was kind of afraid...

Liked: It's located across the street from the beach and an easy walk to restaurants. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there's abundant hot water and a good shower head. It was quiet and I got a good night sleep.
Disliked: The room had black curtains and no way to let in any natural light w/out sacrificing privacy (no "sheers" or blinds). The wall behind the bed was covered with a heavy black quilt for "soundproofing" 0.o which did seem to work, just felt weird and oppressive. The grounds are barely maintained, and the check in system is super confusing. Also, there's no provision for coffee! So plan accordingly.

Passable

Liked: The location was great close to the railroad station and the beach. I have to say it was perfect.
Disliked: The place needs some upkeep but everything all was decent and I would go again for the price
