A great hotel

Liked: Great staff, very clean and lovely breakfast.

Superb

Liked: The rooms were nicely furnished.
Disliked: We didn't like having to walk through the bar and restaurant area (with our luggage )to our room.

Liked: Comfortable, clean, pleasant, relaxed, really good vibe about the place, fantastic setting, great layout, quality and plentiful meals. Spotlessly clean throughout.

Excellent one night stay. Location...

No real complaints but I...

Liked: The room was nice, everything you needed, but it was a little small for the price we paid and it had no bath.
Disliked: I expected more of a 'hotel' atmosphere but the public rooms were just a pub.

Absolutely not luxurious!. Utterly disappointed!

Liked: The only good thing about this “luxurious” (NOT!!!!!) country inn is the proximity to The Roaches. However, it is still on a busy road. Going to that area again, I’d stay 40 mins away in Ashton on Water or Bakewell.
Disliked: Everything….apart from the views. Tatty, tasteless, tired and a team of staff who clearly wanted to be anywhere other than their posts! The food (not great) was served at high speed…a “get ‘em in and get ‘em out” policy. The staff were, with the exception of two cheerful waitresses) surly, unwelcoming and “not bothered” whether we were there or not! It was, almost, comedically awful so, thankfully, we tried to see the funny side. But the amount of money we spent sticks in our craw! Totally overpriced for what it is! What a waste of money. The moral of this tale is do your research before you book! 99% of the time we do, but sadly, in this instance, we didn’t!

Disliked: Being woke up early by bridal party but we understood due to it being our ten year wedding anniversary

Very disappointed stay

Liked: The location and the food were lovely,
Disliked: The over all stay was appalling, there was screaming, shouting until 3.30 am the police turned up, other unruly guests were the cause of this, but we feel the staff didn't do anything about it, drunk people rolling around the corridors out side our room. People fighting and swearing out side our room window, very disappointed to how this situation was handled. No apology, not even asked how our stay was when we checked out.
