The Spotlight on Thousand Hills Resort Hotel

Comfort and Convenience Just Steps from Branson’s Music Scene

Modern, welcoming, and ideally located in the heart of Branson, Thousand Hills Resort Hotel is just a short walk from the Andy Williams Moon River Theater and a quick drive to other major live music venues. With cozy rooms, an indoor pool, and plenty of thoughtful amenities, this hotel blends comfort with easy access to the city's entertainment hub.
Whether you're in town for a concert, a weekend getaway, or a big group trip, it’s a solid pick for music lovers looking to stay close to the action.

Why Concert-goers love it

One of the biggest perks here is location — you're just a 7-minute walk to the Andy Williams Moon River Theater, and within 1.5 miles of hotspots like the Titanic Museum and Mickey Gilley Theatre. The hotel’s indoor pool and hot tub are perfect for unwinding post-show, and the 24-hour front desk means you won’t be stranded if your concert runs late. While check-out is on the earlier side at 10:00 AM, the shared lounge and concierge services make it easy to hang around and plan your next move.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for fun and convenience
  • Solo travelers catching a bucket-list show
  • Couples on a music-filled weekend getaway
  • Fans wanting a quieter post-concert recovery spot with indoor comforts
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who don’t want to skimp on amenities

Food and Drink Options

There’s an on-site restaurant and bar, so you won't have to go far for a bite or nightcap. While there’s no mention of 24/7 room service, vending machines with drinks are available, and the hotel’s location puts you close to walkable dining spots. The American breakfast is a nice touch for those who stayed out late and need a solid start to the day.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you’re near plenty of Branson nightlife, including local bars and theaters. The on-site bar offers a more low-key place to wind down with a drink, and you’re never far from live entertainment in this music-centric town.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Many highlight the hotel’s unbeatable location for shows and events, along with the relaxing indoor pool and hot tub. The welcoming lobby and shared lounge area also get high marks as good hangout spots before or after a concert.

Areas for Improvement

The 10:00 AM check-out time is a bit early for late-night concert-goers, and some guests mention that the decor feels slightly dated in places. Soundproofing isn’t perfect — you might hear hallway chatter — but it’s nothing a good playlist or white noise app can’t fix.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to Branson for the music, Thousand Hills Resort Hotel offers comfort, location, and just the right mix of amenities to make your concert trip easy and enjoyable.

Pleasant

Liked: Great location to shopping, dining, and other activities.
Disliked: The facility was outdated. Parking was difficult. Needed stairs or something in the parking lot as most of parking lot is on an incline, it was slippery when wet. The spaces were also extremely tight. View was not spectacular as it stated in ad (we had a great view of a building and a neighboring broken parking lot).

Liked: older property. staff was great.
Disliked: older tired looking property. it was fine because it was one night, but if I was staying there for a week, I wouldn’t be as placed.

Not satified

Liked: Great location
Disliked: The bath tub had a dirty ring around it. Also, the room only had a refridgerator. The microwave is located on all 9 floors, by the ice maker and snack machine. They could at least upgrade their rooms. If your going to advertise that you're getting a room with 2 queen size beds. Make sure that you let your customers know that only the headboard on the wall is queen size and you're getting a full size bed.

Please do better

Disliked: There was mold in my air conditioner in both rooms. The place is really old no updates. It was hot/cold water while showering, some areas were very hot especially near the elevators. The pool area was really poorly kept. A few of the staff members in the dining area was rude, trying to eat at dinner and had to leave after being overlooked for more than 10 mins. With the amount of stars that misled my choice to stay here, it was soliditafied when I came to the room with a coupon requesting certain stars to get half price prices on the next stay that needed to be chosen before we left. It all made sense why this place received so many misled stars!

Disliked: The room seemed outdated. I was expecting more. The ac unit was constantly turning off and on which was a bit annoying.

Disappointing

Liked: The staff were friendly
Disliked: No hot water. Rooms very outdated for the price. No microwave in the room had to go down to the LL just to warm up some food for my kids.
