Loved our stay at Thon...

Liked: We stayed at Thon Bristol for 6 nights recently. The location was very central and convenient to walk to most of the things we wanted to see and do. The rooms were small by U.S. standards but were very functional and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure and nice hot water. The breakfast was delicious with a very good assortment of breakfast items to choose from. We especially enjoyed sitting on the terrace to enjoy our breakfast. The breakfast staff were also very friendly. I will say that our room overlooked the square area and it was a bit noisy during the weekend nights - if that is an issue for you. Overall, a great choice for a family trip to Bergen.

Expensive for what you get...

Liked: Excellent location, friendly staff, nice interior design, decent breakfast
Disliked: The worst thing was that we had a twin room and the beds were tiny. They were children’s singles not standard singles so we were hanging out of them all night feeling very untested and sore in the mornings. Additionally, the room was much too hot as we were visiting in summer, no air conditioning and they had run out of fans. Room was very dusty as others have mentioned.

Disliked: Lobby reception area gets to be very stuffy, needs better aircirculation.

Centrally-located with comfortable rooms and...

Liked: The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was centrally located, so we could walk to everything even in the rain. Breakfast was wonderful!

Great rooms, delicious epic breakfast,...

Liked: The breakfast was awesome, and the staff at breakfast really helpful. Desk staff also very pleasant. We got lucky with a corner room overlooking the central plaza, lovely room, very comfortable, as was our kids' room. Location fabulous, and also 100m walk from the light rail to airport
Disliked: Nothing really

Nice stay for a trip...

Liked: Great location for a long weekend trip to Bergen. We were a 5-10 min walk from most the small harbor, the Bryggen village, and the funicular. Good hotel breakfast as well, and great views from our room.
Disliked: The bed was a little lumpy and we could not consistently keep the circulated air going in the room over night. The square below was loud on Saturday night so keeping the windows open was also not an option.
