Morning Pampering

Liked: It is a beautiful home. The breakfasts that Michael prepared were delightful. I really enjoyed the attentive service. The gardens around the home are just lovely. I really had a very nice stay.

Liked: Breakfast was excellent—actually, too much food.
Disliked: Our room was cold - no heat. We were provided a small space heater, but it was not adequate to heat the space. We felt very disrespected. We sat on the front stoop while waiting for the Downtowner driver to arrive. The owner told us we had to move because our sitting there took away from the house's appearance. He wanted us to move to the side of the house and sit on the porch so we couldn't be seen. We paid over $1,100 for a two-night stay and should have been treated more respectfully. They also have a house rule stating guest must remove trash from their room before checking out, or else there would be an extra charge for the staff to remove it.

Great save for museum-like rules.

Disliked: There is a plethora of rules and fines for disobeying them.

Excellent accommodations, loation, and breakfast.

Liked: We were given a choice of 3 breakfast items. All were cooked to order and were delicious. The historical home was beautifully decorated and our hosts were so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed visiting with Michael.
Disliked: We were on the 2nd floor of the carriage house. We were able to maneuver the stairs but it would have difficult for some couples.
