Accommodations, home made breakfast, warm...
Liked: There is so much to like about this home! From the front curb appeal, first glimpse inside when greeted by Michael, the gorgeous decor and historical beauty of the home. The gardens are impeccable and inviting and soothing. It is also very comfortable with top of the line modern conveniences.
Disliked: Nothing

Will not return.
Liked: Beautifully furnished, spacious room, comfortable bed and bath, good food, BUT read the fine print. I was asked to sign an agreement (no copy provided) upon checkin that apparently obligated me to pay penalties for 2 occasions where a door was left open. One of the open doors was for our room, we were the only guests in the house. There are a lot of other undisclosed rules - no computers in the parlor, no beverages in the parlor, not allowed to read the books (of local interest) on the coffee table. I was not provided with the list of hidden rules or the fines that would be charged. I received notice of the $100 penalty and deduction from my debit card electronically. I did not feel at home or welcome and will not return.

I would not recommend staying...
Liked: The bed was very comfortable and we liked the location to Forsyth Park. Breakfast was decent but a bit skimpy. One of the owners (the one that did the check in) was very nice and helpful.
Disliked: We stayed in the carriage house and it had shoddy and sloppy renovations including extensive paint spilled on the tile floor. There was a bizarre amount of signage telling us what not to do or we would be fined. We counted 10 in our room. One of the employees/owner? who did the gardening was the rudest person we have ever encountered in our many travels in the USA and numerous countries. The first day my husband stepped on some grass in the back yard and was told "the grass won't grow if you keep stepping on it." The next day that "grass" was actually replaced in its entirety by sod. There was no reason to criticize my husband. The following day, my husband was bringing in two rental bikes to lock them behind the fence in the very back with all their tools and refuse containers. He left the gate open while he was going in and out and was rudely scolded for it by the same man who is apparently a co-owner. I imagine it's not unusual to rent bikes to see beautiful Savannah and we were trying to keep the bikes safe. We were not made to feel comfortable in this establishment. We felt unwelcome. I'm not surprised to see other reviews from people who have had the same treatment.

Devoid of southern hospitality
Liked: The property is well maintained and the freshly cooked breakfast was extremely well done. The location is slightly distant but well within walking distance to the main attractions.
Disliked: One of the things that I think most people coming to Savannah are looking forward to is southern hospitality. Not only did this property not exude southern hospitality, it was positively unwelcoming. Before you arrive, you get an email (no notification at the time of booking) informing you that unless you arrive within a narrow timeframe, you will be subjected to rather large monetary penalties. Then you arrive to find there is no parking at the site and you are brusquely told to fend for yourself with street parking (not an easy feat with a camper van). Once checked in, it became obvious they once had private parking which they elected to eliminate for a couple sets of unused chairs in an otherwise fairly expansive outdoor space. Of course since everyone needs to check in at a narrowly defined time, there is likely a wait to check in. When you finally get to your room, every direction that you turn there is some admonition sign about things you cannot do (often associated with a financial penalty). Maybe the ultimate guffaw was even though your place is in the rear of the residence, you get yelled at for sitting at the front entrance waiting for an Uber. There are plenty of B&Bs in town that we strongly recommend staying somewhere else that cares more about their guests.

Exceptional
Liked: Very well-appointed property. We were there for St Patrick's Day parade and were delighted to find the property is located at the starting point of the parade.
