Great choice for Heathrow T5...

Liked: Perfect for Terminal 5. Excellent staff all very efficient. Liked the restaurant and bar area with views over the airport. Room very clean and quiet. Used Pod to get to Terminal: quick and easy
Disliked: Outside looked a bit dated.

Functional Stay, food/bar viewing area...

Disliked: Rooms advertised as deluxe…standard/small would be a better description. OK but nothing deluxe about it! Duvet cover torn, bathroom functional but tired. Was clean and guess that was most important.

Pod travel to and from...

Liked: Access to Heathrow Terminal 5 is via dedicated individual Pods (individual trams on their own track) which operate all the time, ten minutes journey. You buy a token from Thistle Reception, which operates a code to the gate to the car park, where you will find the Pod Station, then just jump into a pod, and it takes you directly to Terminal 5, Level 2. If your journey starts at Terminal 5 and you want to travel to the Thistle Hotel (as I did, having arrived by National Express coach at Terminal 5), then you just go straight to the Pod station on Level 2 in Terminal 5, jump in a pod (max one family per pod) and when you arrive at the Thistle Hotel stop, which is in a car park, simply follow the walkway to Thistle Hotel, ring reception to open the gate, and then pay for your journey at Thistle Reception.
Disliked: It was all fine for a night before an early flight.
