Grubby poorly maintained room. Not...

Liked: Location isn't bad
Disliked: We arrived late, 10.30pm to be met by a very surly receptionist. We were given room 1 which was in the basement. The room was obviously in need of decorating and there were very obvious stains all over the carpet and the furniture was scratched and well used .The window was being held open with what appeared to be a piece of pipe. In the bathroom the soap dispenser was broken and the sink did not drain well. The grout on the tiles around the bath was black in places and the sealant was yellow and in need of replacing. There was also hair around the area behind the taps and the shower, an attachment on the bath taps was difficult to control the direction of.As for the beds one of my daughters complained she could she could feel a spring but the other 2 beds seem comfortable enough if a little soft for my liking. One of the duvet covers a stain on which looked like some kind of sticky mark and the under sheet on one of the beds was very heavily stained, it appeared no attempt had been wash it. I'm afraid the hotel stays was not pleasant and I certainly don't recommend this room.

Liked: Good-sized room for three people, warm and cosy.
Disliked: No lift to the third floor but staff did assist us with our lugguage.

Disliked: The room we were given wasn't what we had booked back in January it was supposed to be a double bed not two singles pushed together no bath, room 28 right at the top of hotel with 78 steps from reception for me a man with a heart condition plus a recent knee operation this isn't acceptable no lift just stairs I didn't complain not my way I trust people to do the right thing I certainly won't be back. I looked on their website and they don't even advertise room 28 but we would have been happy in any other room you can see didn't completely ruin our holiday we just thought it wasn't what we paid for.

Great location great staff.

Liked: I had a very comfortable bed and the location is excellent. The staff were very helpful.
Disliked: The rooms are very, very small and there isn’t even room for your suitcase.

Liked: An Ok location
Disliked: Filthy, fusty smell, unsafe looking electrics, paint peeling on walls and windows, carpet warm, basically a very rundown hotel.

Liked: Lovely classical hotel at a nice walking distance to the old town.Room is great.
Disliked: There is no elevator so you have to carry all your luggage up the high stairs.And in an international city, I expect power plugs with USB connection to load electronic equipment.

Liked: The location was perfect, close to many bus lines, trams and trains. And the staff was amazing
Disliked: The only thing i wish was to have some hot choices for breakfast

Great location, but dingy accommodations.

Liked: The staff was quite friendly and helpful! The location was excellent, near cafe's, restaurants, and Dean village. They also offered breakfast (for a charge), but we did not partake of this.
Disliked: Sadly, our rooms were nothing like the photos online. The bathrooms and showers/tubs had a significant amount of mold/mildew and there was a giant cobweb dangling from the ceiling in one bathroom. The carpeted floors also looked very dirty and could have used a vacuuming or a carpet shampooing. I understand this is an old building and give grace for this, but some of these issues are more of a maintenance concern.
