I will booked this hotel...

Liked: The location was perfect, close to many bus lines, trams and trains. And the staff was amazing
Disliked: The only thing i wish was to have some hot choices for breakfast

Great location, but dingy accommodations.

Liked: The staff was quite friendly and helpful! The location was excellent, near cafe's, restaurants, and Dean village. They also offered breakfast (for a charge), but we did not partake of this.
Disliked: Sadly, our rooms were nothing like the photos online. The bathrooms and showers/tubs had a significant amount of mold/mildew and there was a giant cobweb dangling from the ceiling in one bathroom. The carpeted floors also looked very dirty and could have used a vacuuming or a carpet shampooing. I understand this is an old building and give grace for this, but some of these issues are more of a maintenance concern.

Lovely stay in character building

Liked: The hotel is a lovely old character building. It has very kind and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Great location - handy for the tram (into town or to the airport), and near the beautiful Water of Leith walkway. There is a bar on-site for bevvies and snacks.
Disliked: There are stairs and no lift. However, this was not a drama as I was prepared for it, and the staff kindly lugged my suitcase up and down for me.

Warm and customer service oriented

Liked: Service. They were really kind and open to help during our visit.
Disliked: N/A. Everything was really good!

Clean rooms near old town

Liked: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The clerk was very nice and helpful. The hotel is fairly close to old town and the bus stops and train station.
Disliked: There is no lift and we were on the 3rd floor. We couldn't have made it up the stairs with our luggage if the clerk hadn't helped us. The rooms need some updating. They could use more electrical outlets and a refrigerator would be nice.

Liked: Nothing we liked from the moment we walked in .
Disliked: It looks nothing like the pictures also does not tell you there is 1 parking space and costs £20 per night . The room Had stains on the mattress and a dry blood stain mattress topper the shower was just disgusting g and smelled so we complained and got moved to another room that was just as bad. We booked for 2 night but it was that dirty we stayed 1 we slept on top of the quilt as the bed was so dirty. We left the very next day then found they tried to take £45.50 out the bank we tried to get hold of management to get a refund but was told one was on holiday and the other was in meetings all day. We will be sending a formal e mail of complaint .AVOID AT ALL COSTS going here .
