Liked: Very nice room and nice view
Disliked: It had some bugs but that’s to be expected due to its lakeside.

It was a memorable stay...

Liked: Spacious rooms with lovely views of the fishing lake, 2 double beds in the twin room. Clean good quality bedding. Complimentary toiletries. Large TV.
Disliked: The rooms could have been cleaned to a better standard. Worktops were sticky and table on the decking outside had food remains. The floor inside the rooms was bouncy and sloping in places, made you feel drunk! The beds were a DIY construction, so very high to climb onto. Automatic lights under the beds have a motion sensor, so they disturb the other person when you get up in the night. Lots of digital gadgets with lights on made it hard to get to sleep. No air-conditioning and only an opening back door, no opening windows, poorly fitting curtains that let in the light - so extremely hot and a very poor night's sleep. Minibar cooler isn't a fridge as advertised, so not suitable for perishable foods - only drinks.

Restful, peaceful and enjoyable

Liked: Third time here, every room has been different every time so this is nice. Sitting on the waterfront is absolutely loving especially in this weather
Disliked: Only downfall this time was flies! This isn’t anything the lodge can do as flies are flies

Liked: It was a nice quiet room with a great view, it was surprising how many large fish were swimming around in view. It was great to see the other animals at the lodge like the goats etc.
