Great time in Ostend, lovely...

Liked: Historical building on the seafront
Disliked: Some disrepair and closed areas

Nice and charming hotel close...

Liked: Everything went well from the welcoming till the check out, very friendly and supportive staff.The hotel is nicely situated the room was specious, the bed comfortable, all very clean and a really good breakfast.Although the hotel has some signs of age it has its Charme. I was on a business trip and could relax after visiting a fair as it was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. I would book it again.

Liked: The building is really an iconic place not only for Ostende but for the entire country. It has some incredible and historical traces and it is literally on the beach and at the same time close to the center.
Disliked: The building needs maintenance. Preserving its historical character is important, but that shouldn’t mean neglecting necessary restoration. My family and I got the impression that funds may not have been properly allocated, as there haven't been significant investments for decades. It’s unfortunate. At the lateral entrance (on the right leaving the sea on your back), there is a strong unpleasant smell. That said, the staff is very kind, and the palace has great potential if properly maintained.
