The Yorkville Royal Sonesta Hotel Toronto

The perfectly tailored, clean cut, handsome, French accented concierges who, unlike most Canadians, consistently pronounced my name correctly made this hotel experience well worth the cost. I immediately took note of the pristine condition of the entire hotel. I felt comfortable and at home. Great location, beautiful view, amenities as far as the eye can see! You will enjoy your stay here :)

Wonderful location, rooms and staff

Liked: Great rooms. Great breakfast and bar. Small but pleasant fitness. Very kind staff overall.
Disliked: I did not appreciate the fact that I was locked out of my room in spite of having been given late checkout on departure day, at the time of checking in. When you are in fitness gear and want to get into your room, the room key should work. The excuse at reception that I should have come with my room key the day of check out to reload the key for a late checkout time is absurd, whether or not this is how the system works… It would actually be worse if this is hotel policy and guests are not told this in advance. If not for this incident, it would have been a 10.

A great base to explore...

Liked: A great hotel to explore Toronto. Yorkville is a lovely area & the Royal Ontario Museum is right across the street. Easy access to subway to explore downtown. Hotel staff were very helpful & the room was well equipped & very comfortable. Pool is small but a nice touch for an early swim.

Liked: Beautiful and clean rooms, great amenities.
Disliked: The parking is very expensive when you can park in the Green P behind the hotel for less than half the price.

Disliked: WiFi in rooms is not reliable. Leave some bottled water in room for arrival and refresh rather than having to pick up from reception/concierge.

Beautiful Hotel in the Heart...

Liked: Hotel was clean, staff were nice, and the location was amazing. We were easily able to walk to both the train and tram. Rooms also had a Nespresso machine which was awesome. Housekeeping staff were exceptionally nice and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing, it was really a perfect stay!
