A comfortable stay in a...

Liked: I liked the old style feel of the place, it had real character. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.The staff were exceptional. Attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I'd particularly like to call out Jez and Gayle.
Disliked: No constructive feedback to add.

Disliked: The only downside was lack of a lift as my husband now has mobility issues. Stairs could have done with helpful rails for more safety.

Friendly, excellent food, comfortable rooms....

Liked: Lovely friendly welcome. Secure bicycle storage was brilliant. Great food and bar. Clean comfortable rooms. Really a perfect stay.
Disliked: Everything was excellent. A slightly earlier breakfast time would have been ideal for us (breakfast opens at 7.30am), but we are very early starters.

Disliked: I was room 39, and it was above where the live music was on Tuesday night, not much shut till that was over but that was my only complaint.Would definitely stay here again though.

Liked: We are really glad we stayed here - really charming with loads of old world character. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Staff were really friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: Nothing, it was brilliant

Liked: Very good service from the staff and s great breakfast
Disliked: The general appearance of the carpets, decoration, room furnishings, and bathrooms are all very old and worn. Felt like staying with my old grandma. It was too expensive for the quality of the accommodation.
