Give it a miss -...

Liked: The size of the room with a nice large bed and reasonable en suite were the best parts of this stay. The location to the Castle is convenient if you are attending a wedding. Shockingly expensive and very poor value.
Disliked: The check in is done remotely - punch a code into the external door and the door key is left in the door. The Wyndham had no other facilities that just the room. We were told breakfast was at the Castle so walked there to be told it was back at the Wyndham! Staff on phone, but no breakfast ready 20-minutes after it should have been. £160 for a room with a sausage and bacon in a bap breakfast cannot be considered worthwhile by any stretch of the imagination. I find it difficult to believe that they have the nerve to charge so much for so little. The only recommendation is to give it a miss - better value options locally.

Pleasant stay

Liked: Located in a nice quite village in the countryside. Staff were friendly. The room was clean and had a nice shower.
Disliked: The breakfast was too limited, only a cooked breakfast buffet (with more or less options depending on day) and a few cereals, and tea/coffee pots. More choice, e.g. museli, fresh fruit, yoghurt and/or made to order cooked breakfast would be nice.

Liked: room was lovely and spacious, easy check in and out and free breakfast was a plus, location to castle was very convenient, only 5 min walk away.
Disliked: it was incredibly hard to get in contact with the hotel before our stay, finally managed to speak to someone after multiple calls and emails, room was expensive for only 1 night, breakfast was free but there wasn't much left of it when we got there.

Liked: Location was beautiful. We had a wonderful time at our grand daughters wedding at Clearwell castle. Staff were very accommodating. Superb!!!
Disliked: No faults to find at all!!
