A very nice stay and...

Liked: The breakfast was excellent but evening meals were a bit too fancy for us. Overall a pleasant stay
Disliked: We stopped in room 20. The bathroom floor tiles were a slipping hazard when in dry barefoot. Even worse when a bath mat towel was on the floor. The tiles were too smooth and polished. At our home we carefully selected a textured sparkly tile to avoid any slips. The hotel owner should consider this - Some subject reference material - https://www.thespruce.com/coefficient-of-friction-specs-to-buy-best-1822608

Beautiful Country House Hotel, amazing...

Liked: The buildings and surrounding gardens are stunning. Our room was superb ~ very clean and in keeping with the house (we were in the Carriage rooms). Loved the decor and the toiletries were first class. It was lovely to have bottled water in our room as well as complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The towels were thick and fluffy and there was an iron and hairdryer ~ very impressed. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant ~ excellent quality of food and service
Disliked: The only issues we had were firstly we were asked to go into the bar half an hour before our meal and choose our meal~ it felt like going into a waiting room which was odd and also the barman came and asked us to sign a bill at the end of our meal (we had only just finished our meal so hadn't even ordered coffee) it felt really intrusive when they had the room number and all our meal choices were put onto a handheld computer. We heard someone else mention it so didn't say anything at the time but it would be nice if something could be done to replace that from happening especially when you are staying in an up market Country House Hotel
