Nestled conveniently off the A4500, it’s perfectly placed between Northampton and Wellingborough—ideal for concert-goers looking to balance lively nights with a serene stay. The hotel pairs contemporary, comfortable rooms with a cozy countryside atmosphere, complete with a popular restaurant and wine bar.

Why Concert-goers love it

Fans love the hotel’s easy access to major venues in both Northampton and Wellingborough—just a short drive away—while enjoying a quieter spot to recharge post-show. The free parking is a bonus for road-trippers, and with check-in from 14:00, there's time to settle in before heading out. Though it’s tucked away from city noise, local taxi services and rideshares are readily available late into the night.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant is a highlight, offering well-reviewed meals and an extensive wine and beer list. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the bar is a welcoming spot for a nightcap. Breakfast is served in the morning—perfect for a late start after a late night. For more variety, both Northampton and Wellingborough offer great food spots just a few minutes away.

Nightlife Options

While The World’s End doesn’t host its own live music, its location puts you within easy reach of the vibrant nightlife scenes in nearby towns. The hotel bar is great for a chill drink, and local pubs offer that classic village charm. For clubbing or after-hours music, Northampton is your go-to.

What People Say

Guests rave about the friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the high-quality restaurant. Many mention how the peaceful setting was just what they needed after a loud, energetic night out. Cleanliness and modern design are frequent highlights across reviews.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that while the hotel is lovely, it’s best suited for those with a car due to the semi-rural location. The 10:00 check-out time is earlier than some might like after a late night, so plan accordingly.

The Bottom Line

The World's End - Northampton offers concert-goers the best of both worlds: easy access to the music scene with a peaceful, quality stay to come back to.

Comfortable, quiet, value for money...

Liked: I had 2 lunches and the food was excellent and what I would expect from a high end restaurant, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying again.
Disliked: My only criticism is staff smoking by the entrance door to the bedrooms(ground floor) it looked unprofessional. Maybe a designated area for staff to smoke out of sight would be more suitable.Bedroom furniture is getting tiered, but everything was clean.

Comfortable but disappointing service

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable
Disliked: Stayed on a bank holiday Monday. Very surprised to find that they stopped serving food after 4:45pm and the bar was closed by 7pm with no drinks or evening food an available to us. They directed us to another pub down the road!

A long way from home.

Liked: Staff were lovely. Location was good on the edge of a village with bus stop outside.Liked the relaxed atmosphere.
Disliked: Our room, which was on the roadside of the building, felt very dark. Needing lights on even on a bright sunny day. The walls were grey, the furniture dark and the blinds so dark they were almost black.

Good

Liked: Dinner excellent - though breakfast choice limited. Staff welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Blinds - but no curtains so room was still quite light at night - due to car park lights. No electric car charge point - nearest is at the Quays.

Poor - 1.5 out of 5

I would NEVER stay at...

Liked: Signing in
Disliked: The twin bedded we had was dark, dingy, carpet needed a deep clean and that goes for all 3 rooms I booked and the twin beds should have thrown out at least 10 years ago! My husband and I finally took the duvets out of their covers to put on the disgraceful mattresses in the hope that sleeping on the bed would be possible. We both did NOT get much sleep as the beds were so uncomfortable and frankly totally worn out, I would not even think of using such appalling beds in any of my spare rooms! My husband did comment to the young man about the beds but, of course he had a "sorry", but that was it!The breakfast was also very poor, extremely small and not fresh eggs, bacon like shoe leather, sausages not tasty at all and all swimming about in the very cheap baked beans. ALL IN ALL the night we stayed was very disappointing ! All 3 rooms had the same problems but , in fairness the double beds were not as bad as the singles we endured !
