Would definitely have dinner here...

Liked: Loved the character, well kept gardens and great food
Disliked: The cleanliness of the mews entrance could have been cleaner. Lots of flies.

Liked: A very helpful gentleman helped us with luggage and in arranging for a soft pillow to be provided, after three out of the four were stone hard as well as an extra fan in the extreme heat. The room, though distant from the main area and poorly furnished, was at least quiet. The water was hot, the shower efficient, The view from the terrace outside is outstanding. The breakfast room staff were friendly, the room was respectably serviced each day.
Disliked: The room, some distance from the main house and not very large with a tiny window overlooking a ditch, had all the IKEA charm of a Howard Johnson Motel in America but with no fridge, and no air conditioning. The food facilities at Wood Norton are to to be avoided at all costs. The restaurant charges Relais et Chateau' prices for pub food, however grandly pretentious the surrounding decor. One should not be charged £25 for chicken that had been frozen. I ordered an asparagus dish and received egg, edamame beans and burrata served by someone other than the person who took the order. Our initial lunch (for which we waited a huge amount of time) eventually arrived with the wrong items. When the chicken Caesar salad arrived after waiting for it half an hour, it was entirely undressed and dry. Breakfast was somewhat better (utterly tasteless sausages) but the "crowning glory" at breakfast was a pot of lukewarm tea because no one in the kitchen had even noticed that someone had forgotten to turn on the hot water urn. The whole place is clearly understaffed with sometimes chaotic results.

Liked: Beautiful hotel with grounds to match ... but could have done with some upkeep as it was a little untidy.
Disliked: I appreciate that the staff were busy but it reminded me a little bit of "faulty towers". We had breakfast outside and ordered Tea & Coffee, the milk was spilt over the table and not cleaned up and the coffee never arrived. No fridge in the room which is really unusual for a 4 start hotel costing nearly £270 per night, so we were unable to have access to cold drinks witgout going to the bar,.

Great hotel.wish we could gave...

Liked: Loved the courtyard, the rose garden and all outdoor spaces. Room comfortable and clean. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Great choice of food for breakfast.

Disliked: Disabled/accessible rooms in pear tree were up a quite steep incline,not ideal for someone with limited mobility
