Lovely hotel, comfy bed, delicious...

Liked: The room was lovely with a massive bathroom, great quality towels. Bed was very comfy. Staff in reception very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Lots of staff on Sunday morning. The hotel was in a great location and it was lovely to enjoy a drink soaking up the view.
Disliked: The hotel lacked a little atmosphere, maybe as it seemed quiet.Hotel said the restaurant was full at the time we wanted but there didn't seem to be many guests. Seemed that there was rather a staff shortage on the friday night and Saturday . I ordered a Cosmopolitan at the bar which wasn't very good. There was only 2 staff that seemed to be running from bar to the restaurant. Unfortunately had to wait a while to be served a drink on Friday night. Our room was lovely however, the floor got very wet so had to put slippers/shoes on so feet didn't get wet.Breakfast good except it would be good to have the toast with the actual breakfast rather than before.

Liked: Lovely building and gardens. Pleasant, helpful staff.
Disliked: Staff very helpful, but serving staff over-stretched. Customer spoons ran out at breakfast. (19 in bowls of seeds etc.!) Strange lighting set-up in room. Bedside light not independent. Woken by flashes of very bright security light when power cuts happened. Establishment not quite up to professed standards.

Disliked: - The gym could use some attention, as it feels a bit neglected.- During breakfast, the service seems understaffed, especially at peak times, which makes the experience quite challenging for both the team and the guests.

Disliked: It is difficult to sometime attract staff at this time in the hospitality industry, we understand. But we still feel that service should be more responsive in such a wonderful hotel and location.

Disliked: Room walls very thin could hear the neighbour telly at night and in the morning was woken up by them having a morning wee. There Wedding going on and there was a very loud argument outside our window by two drunken men that went on for a while, no one came to break it up
