Exceptional

A little disappointed about not...

Liked: Beautiful period property in a quaint little village. Great fish and chip shop nearby and handy amenities. Spacious free car park at the rear of the property also. Clean rooms and nice bar.
Disliked: We were placed in a room (windmill suite) which is on different levels filled with fire doors and stairs and even a fire escape door. With a 3 year old toddler and a newborn, this made it very difficult to navigate throughout our rooms and also use the bathroom which you had to access through many heavy fire doors and a flight of stairs. When asked to change room, through fear of the little one finding it a chore to finding the loo or trapping his fingers in three fire doors to access the toilet, we were told they were fully booked. This I just couldn’t believe as when our fire alarm went off at 9:30am we saw how many people were staying at the property and it was only a handful of people so I’m sure we could of easily swapped rooms. The hotel does not offer food, much to our disappointment as it quite frankly states on the website and on outside of the property it’s a restaurant. After a 3.5 hour trip to the seaside destination this was a tad annoying. Luckily the fish and chip shop in the town delivered. Even after fire alarm saga, no complimentary breakfast was offered. So all in all after paying £136 for one night, I’m a little bit miffed and we won’t be staying here again sadly.

Disliked: mattresses could have been better quality.little noise from street.disappointed over the lack of restuarants/ pubs for evening meals in the location, had to drive 5/6 miles to find one.

Great staff, dirty room.

Liked: The staff were simply lovely. Charming, polite and good company.
Disliked: The apartment was musty and full of dust. It was simply dirty. A shame.

Liked: Great location with onside parking. Lovely welcome on check in. It is an old historic property. Good bar area well stocked.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and affordable

Liked: CleanComfortableFriendly and helpful staff - we had a small issue and it was quickly and professionally sorted Had a great night sleep
Disliked: We had a great time - there wasn’t really anything to not like for us. If you struggle with stairs, we were on the second floor and there were quite a lot of stairs to go up, but not an issue for us :)

I would not return.

Disliked: Room very small and old fashioned. Mattress very uncomfortable and metal bed frame rattled every time we moved. Probably the worst hotel room I have stayed in.
