Friendly staff and convenient location...
Liked: Location was within walking distance ( 10 to 15 mins) of Wimbledon station and there was a bus stop just over the road. The room was small and comfy with en suite loo and shower. Staff were very friendly. I'll stay here again.
Disliked: Two minor niggles: I didn't like the mixer tap in the bathroom as I found it difficult to work out which way to jiggle the joy-stick to get cold water for teeth cleaning and hot water for hand washing. I would have liked wood bedside units rather than basketwork ones.

The Wimbledon Hotel
Liked: Very welcoming staff, lovely breakfast, great location, comfy bed, cute period building. Free parking was a god send - it's round the back of the building. At least 4 other couples staying which shows it's popular.
Disliked: The shower was stuck on scalding but we think other guests had the same problem. Few bits in the room needed a deep clean

The room was nice, but...
Liked: This is a small hotel, which was nice and quiet while I stayed there. The manager was flexible with my check in time. There was tea and coffee making facilities in my room, and everything seemed clean.
Disliked: There was a small table, but no chair or stool, so the only place to sit was on the narrow single bed, which was too high for me to reach my feet to the floor. I gave up on using my laptop. I felt very cold. I found the window behind the wooden slatted blind was open a crack and had lots of condensation on the glass. I ended up huddling under the duvet for warmth, but the bed felt like it wasn't flat. Was I imagining it? Reading reviews of the room after I got home, I found that others had noticed the bed had a broken leg. This would explain why it didn't feel flat! When I checked out, a "bad person" was banging on the front door being refused access. The manager let me out, and I had to walk past them. Thankfully they didn't hassle me.

Good location , nice staff...
Liked: Location and parking facility on site
Disliked: I upgraded to an executive size room and there was nothing executive about it. Room 8a I assumed from the booking advertisement that breakfast was included but was asked to pay for this separately The hotel and all showering / electrical facilities require upgrading. I?m surprised that it conforms to current regs Too many basic function faults to list

Room needs attention
Liked: Reasonably good location and walkable to Wimbledon underground station. Room was reasonably well decorated and tidy with coffee and biscuits provided in the room
Disliked: Unfortunately the room was let down by the bed which was uneven due to a partly broken leg and therefore at an angle making for an uncomfortable night. The bathroom was tidy but the shower had bad staining on the shower base and the water in the shower had no temperature control working which meant the water was piping hot only and therefore susceptible to burning (Room 2)
