Liked: Helpful staff and a fantastic location for a short stay.
Disliked: It would have been good if the garden area was open as the weather was hot when we stayed. It looks like they are upgrading the area which will be good in the future

Liked: Friendly staff , helpful and accommodating. The hotel was in a good location and had quiet outside seating areas well located at the back of the premises. Parking was behind the pub providing plenty of spaces and easy access to the premises

Very nice but beware of...

Disliked: I spoke to the manager when we checked out as although the room was very nice, we were not told about the extensive very noisy building work going on, the tradespeople were walking past our window at 7.30 in the morning so we really feel this should have been reflected in the price we paid, so I have asked twice about receiving a 30% refund as I feel this is more of a fair price to pay but sadly no response at all, the manager advised me to use the Booking.com portal for this.

The historic charm was not...

Liked: We stayed at the White Swan in 2022 and were charmed by its history so we stayed here again. Our room (Johnson Suite) was full of old world charms
Disliked: Unfortunately, our room faced the main road. The traffic noise kept me awake and the hotel Wifi was almost nonexistent - it only popped up on the available Wifi a couple of times and quickly disappeared ☹️
