Very good
Liked: We were on the third floor, there are lifts although small. The car park is at the rear of the property and entry to the hotel is via steps and an undercover walkway to hotel door with push button access. Room very clean with daily maid. Staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat breakfast. Bar and restaurant busy with a good menu and well cooked food. Good base to see the surrounding area. Hastings/Old Hastings withing walking distance.

Perfect location. Great staff, welcoming...
Liked: Staff were very helpful and considerate, especially as my Aunt who I was travelling with had some mobilitiy issues. Room very comfortable and clean. Great to have a sea view. Modern spacious shower room. Restaurant/bar staff helpful and enjoyed our dinner and breakfast there. Great first trip to Hastings!
Disliked: nothing I can think of.

A bit grubby and outdated
Disliked: This hotel is very outdated and a bit grubby. The walls are paper thin; it was impossible to get a proper nights sleep with the noise (and I live overlooking a busy London high street!). Our room smelled of stale sewerage and was quite dusty. On a positive note the shower was really good and the beds were actually very comfy. We tried the (overpriced) breakfast on one morning. I ordered the fruit platter which tasted of onion, presumably the same chopping boards gets used for fruit and veg. The staff, though pleasant, could really do with some hospitality training. One server was dressed like an East London ‘mandem’ which was confusing. On another positive note, the location is good and if it’s sunny there’s a nice sea front area to sit out on. If you do stay here I recommend breakfast at a nearby cafe or ‘spoons down the road.
