Disappointed return stay .

Liked: Dresdful
Disliked: A welcome ,some assistance on late arrival. The room , the shower ! The state of cleanliness of the tables in the restaurant , didn’t enjoy my arms sticking to both the tables we ate at as for the bar we almost couldn’t unstick our hands appalling state ! The breakfast continental buffet so poor. My husband ordered eggs Benedict , when they were served by a very nice waitress , we asked where the holladaise sauce was ! We couldn’t see any, she went back and brought out a ramakin of melted butter, we said no Thankyou she went to see manager he never came , bear in mind we were the only customers in the dinning room, we haded it back and left, had breakfast in the lemon tree both mornings . We had large party for dinner second night ten in all family reunion , my dinner main chicken Kiev was like warm overcooked served with lukewarm broccoli and potatoes. Didn’t make any fuss because of company, almost full plate plate left but no one questioned it. Nice wee waitress but duty manager whilst not unpleasant had no customer service skills at all, on either days. Presented us with a very large bill plonked on the table never asked if all had been ok. Didn’t say she was locking up but sat with staff and couple of friends curled up in a chair having a drink . No problem with her chilling whilst we were finishing our meal and chat etc , this was a family reunion hadn’t seen each other fit three years , lots to catch up on and very large bill, and two people staying, it was very unprofessional. The lady who checked us out was charming I have to add, this was our third stay with you over the years and what changes . Our room at the top in the was so hot fan didn’t help, could not use the shower as under the eaves . One toilet roll, pump dispensers full but didn’t pump . Tea coffe etc was good. We arrived late about 745 as arranged , bell at reception didn’t work , manager could see we were an elderly couple no welcome no offer of help with bags. Not a pleasant stay .

Great accommodation in great setting.

Liked: Loved the spacious suite. The taste in decoration was of a high standard. Loved having a radio in the room. The bed is the biggest I've ever slept in.
Disliked: At a high price for the room, no breakfast was included. There was a delightful choice of bakeries in the high street, offering reasonably priced food.. There was no dressing table for sitting to do makeup. An honesty snack box took up where it would have been.

Great overnight stay in a...

Liked: We had a room on the top floor with windows on 2 sides - 1 overlooking the high street and the other a nice park at the back. The room was very large. Cleanliness was good and a good selection of good quality tea and coffee. It was very nice that our dog was also was also thought of (doggy treat box, cushion, dog bowls). All staff were very friendly. Bed, bed linen and towels were of a high standard.
Disliked: The room colours were a bit drab. There was naturally noise from the high street side (but one expects that). It was a very hot day so the room was rather warm but a good, strong fan was in the room. Bathroom was functional but a little on the small side

Liked: Ideal location, rooms are so stylish and comfy….thought it would be noisier being over a pub but I didn’t hear anything at night. Nespresso machine in room, snack box, fan, everything thought of..! Food was lovely too.

Disliked: It’s an old building so some noises from stairs Ahmed floor above. But really? Nothing to fuss about

Too expensive for the room

Liked: Food was good. Cleanliness good. Decor of bedroom had no style - dated, mix of colour, nothing matched etc Not the Blue suite illustrated on the website. For £189 it was not the style hoped for.
Disliked: As above
