Around 30 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth The White Lion Hotel is a traditional Welsh inn in the town of Machynlleth. The bar and restaurant offer cask ales and home-cooked food and there is free WiFi throughout the property and on-site parking. Rooms have a TV alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are en-suite and provide complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served each morning from 08:00 - 09:30 this includes a Welsh breakfast. Lunch and dinner are served in the oak-beamed restaurant or bar with the menu featuring fresh produce from local farms. Wonderful. Will stay again and...

Liked: Clean, comfortable, great bar. Although breakfast wasn’t included (I had a good price anyway), it was delicious, great value for money. I had an evening meal too, which again was great value and very enjoyable. Nice big accessible car park made things so much easier. Check in very quick. Perfect location for a long weekend - near Dyfi Osprey project and RSPB Ynys Hir - which we were there to visit.
Disliked: Nothing. It was very good. I would recommend to anyone and look forward to staying there again some day. Lovely member of staff on the Saturday morning who took my breakfast order deserves a shout out.

Excellent , will definitely stay...

Liked: Spotless room , good food in the bar , friendly staff , nothing too much trouble , really enjoyed my stay
Disliked: No WiFi code to get on the internet in my room
