Around 30 minutes' drive from Aberystwyth The White Lion Hotel is a traditional Welsh inn in the town of Machynlleth. The bar and restaurant offer cask ales and home-cooked food and there is free WiFi throughout the property and on-site parking. Rooms have a TV alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are en-suite and provide complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served each morning from 08:00 - 09:30 this includes a Welsh breakfast. Very pleasant

Liked: Lived up to expectations
Disliked: We requested secure bike storage but the room outside was full of decorating material and that made getting our bikes in and out quite difficult.

Liked: Nice refurbished room clean nice new bathroom with walk in shower
Disliked: Just a smell in the corridor downstairs by the entrance to bar

Liked: Lovely room, perfect for a stop over for work. Lovely pub underneath with great menu. Loved Machynlleth and surroundings. Highly recommend.
Disliked: Nothing. Perfect for me.

A great value stay.

Liked: It was a lively busy traditional Pub/Inn undergoing a lot of refurbishment . Newly refurbished Bathroom attached to my room ( No 6 )
Disliked: My room ( No 6 ) formed part of the second floor Fire Escape and so had a minimal lock on it and an expectation to keep the floor space clear. The Fire Escape Stairs were by the window. Cramped room with no storage space for bags ( See above ).
