Liked: We had a warm welcome. I had booked in the restaurant for our evening meal. The restaurant was busy and deserves to be, our four dinners were really excellent. The restaurant and bar staff were all really welcoming and efficient. We had a great evening. Our rooms were good, the beds were really comfortable. The bedrooms were located in a separate building which does mean there’s no bar noise from below. Both of the rooms booked were quiet and well presented.
Disliked: Our only negative was breakfast. The service was good, that wasn’t the issue. It sounds a little petty but two breakfasts were with poached eggs, both eggs were so solid, more like hard boiled. The toast with the salmon was burnt. There wasn’t time to draw attention to it and wait for replacements as we were heading to an event. It just seemed that the staff cooking breakfast were a little haphazard. That was our only criticism and unfortunate as it’s what you think of as you leave.

Disliked: Food good, but small portions & too expensive. Rather cramped room & shower spaces - On the On line Pics, the room & shower looked bigger!

Disliked: Carpet was worn in bedroom and 2 steps down to bathroom were concerning at night time

Excellent surprise

Liked: Really friendly, well trained, and professional staff. Room was lovely, with high quality linen and furniture. Dinner was fabulous, great taste and beautifully presented. A proud chef, for sure.

Liked: Very high standard of accommodation, very comfortable. The staff were caring & very hospitable. Excellent menu for both breakfast & evening meal . Superbly cooked & served with knowledgeable & caring staff.
