Very poor
Disliked: I has unfortunate enough to get Room 108, that's right above the hotel's kitchen with what must be a noisy extractor running 24h. The window facing a nightclub, with loud music until 3am and room was so hot that was impossible to sleep with window shut, after the loud music stopped I managed to get some sleep, until 6am when kitchen staff started banging bottles into the bins without any consideration, they've slammed something so hard that my bed actually shook! If it wasn't for the ensuite I'd probably would have had a better night sleep in my car!

Very friendly staff
Liked: All staff spoken to were really lovely and welcoming. Room a good size - we had pre-booked our dog to be with us and were delighted to see a welcome pack for her with a ball, treats, etc. The hotel itself is lovely and feels oldie but with a modern twist. Parking free - just need a permit to put on the car from Reception. The outdoor seating areas are really lovely - right on the water. Drinks reasonably priced. Having the dog with us meant we couldn't eat in the restaurant but instead in the bar area but that was fine - it is a lovely area. Dog costs £15 extra.
Disliked: We stayed on an exceptionally hot day of 33c - there was a fan in the room but it was exceptionally hot in the room. We were overcharged on leaving for breakfasts that should have been in the room rate but contacted the hotel and were quickly refunded.

I have very serious concerns...
Liked: Located in a nice area, lovely building facade. Staff friendly, they were the only positive thing about this hotel. This is the first time I give such a bad review to a hotel.
Disliked: The room was in an atic, we had to go up three flights of stairs as there was no lift. The outside temperature was 30C (86F), which meant the small room was an oven. There was no aircon . We had to request a fan. We were provided with a small old one. The window was small as you could only open half of it. There was a wall just outside the window, and it was so close to the window that the air was not circulating. That room should have never been offered to customers with this outside heat. It poses a health and safety hazard. The windows were dirty. The bedside lamp was not working which meant that you would need to enter the room at night with the light of a mobile phone until you were able to find the second table lamp. The noise of the old electric shower was such, that you could not hold a conversation with a person in the same room. It was impossible to regulate the temperature of the shower. There was only one set of towels for a couple. There is a patio inside the hotel which seems to be a public rights of way as people from the street used it to go from the front of the hotel to the back streets. There was one instance when we were sitting in this passage when a very big dog from a hotel customer jumped and bit another dog that was being walked by his owner (a passer-by). The scream of both dogs was scary. The tables outside the hotel and in the patio area were all dirty full of dirty glasses from more than one customer. The tables were sticky and many were wobbly.
