The Spotlight on The Westin Seattle

Stylish Downtown Stay with Skyline Views

Modern and upscale, The Westin Seattle is a sleek high-rise hotel right in the heart of downtown Seattle. With sweeping views of the city skyline and Puget Sound, this hotel puts you just steps away from major music venues, shopping, and nightlife. Whether you're in town for a high-energy concert or a chill acoustic set, you'll find comfort and convenience in every corner.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location, location, location. The Westin is less than a 10-minute walk from several popular venues and just five minutes from the Monorail, offering quick transit to Seattle Center and the Space Needle. With check-in starting at 4:00 PM and a relaxed 11:00 AM check-out, it’s easy to transition from show-time excitement to next-day recovery. Despite its central location, guests often praise the quiet, restful rooms—perfect for post-show wind-downs.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central base camp
- Solo travelers checking off their bucket-list show
- Couples making a romantic music-filled weekend of it
- Fans needing a quiet space to recover after the encore
- Budget-conscious fans who want upscale amenities in a prime location

Food and Drink Options

Head to RELISh Burger Bistro for a modern take on American comfort food—open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bar offers local beers, wine, and hand-crafted cocktails, great for pre-show sips or post-concert bites. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the hotel’s central location means there are plenty of late-night dining spots within walking distance. Craving caffeine after a long night? In-room coffee and tea-making facilities have you covered.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, it’s perfectly positioned near Seattle’s bustling nightlife scene. Walk to nearby lounges and bars or hop on the Monorail to reach late-night hotspots around Seattle Center. Prefer to keep it mellow? The hotel bar offers a cozy atmosphere and a solid cocktail menu.

What People Say

Guests love the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and stunning views from upper floors. Many mention the smooth check-in process and the helpful, friendly staff. The location gets top marks for being within walking distance of venues, restaurants, and public transit.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers note that the hotel’s décor could use a refresh in certain areas, and that minibar prices are on the steep side. During busy weekends, elevator wait times can be a little longer—but nothing a good playlist can’t fix.

The Bottom Line

With its prime downtown location, relaxing rooms, and easy transit access, The Westin Seattle hits the right note for concert-goers seeking both energy and ease.

I was surprised to not have free wifi. Is this not 2015? Come on! Room service menu was very high priced, but then they add automatic 18% tip - plus a service fee! Parking was so confusing that after opting for self-park, we ended up having to use valet anyway! And both rates were high. So - all in all I felt 'nickel-and dimed' to death. If the corporations that use these hotels would complain about all of these extra charges, perhaps we minions could afford to stay here. Just saying!

Liked: Clean; comfortable.
Disliked: Charge for every little thing!

I wouldn't stay here again. Very disappointed in what they refer to as a suite. A suite is not two rooms that adjoin. A suite is one big room with a separate bedroom. Overpriced for what they call a suite. I would stay somewhere else next time and pay for a real suite. Also, didn't use room service as the required extra fees were way too much.

Liked: View.
Disliked: No suites - only adjoining rooms.

We loved the view and the staff were very polite. Our room was not very clean - the bathtub was dirty and so were the sheets on one of our beds. I had to scrub the tub before using it and the bedside table was dirty and sticky so I also had to clean this.

Liked: Wonderful view.
Disliked: Not clean.

Comfortable and good location

Liked: Great location. Within walking distance to many popular attractions and the train and monorail. 5 blocks from Pike Place. 3/4 mile from Seattle Center and the space needle. Very comfortable beds and the free in-room coffee maker was decent. A good darker roast. Nice dispensers in the shower with White Tea products.
Disliked: The elevators are not adequate for the number of floors and rooms. Allow extra time during peak departure and arrival times .

Old, tired hotel in a...

Liked: The location of the hotel was good. Bed was fairly comfortable but very small.
Disliked: Rooms are old and in need of renovation, dirty, we found luggage tags stuck on the furniture from Dec 31st ! Been there 8 months. The mini bar dry items hidden behind TV and covered in dust. Wallpaper peeling off the walls. View was just the offices opposite. Towels were very hard, no body wash in shower just hair shampoo x 2 and a conditioner, shower water leaked from the shower head and sprayed everywhere. The floor and walls in the bathroom were very dirty, black ingrained dirt. Staff were inoffensive but not helpful.
