City Views and Concert Vibes in the Heart of Portland

Modern and welcoming, The Westin Portland Harborview blends sleek comfort with a prime location in downtown Portland’s arts and shopping district. Just steps from the Portland Museum of Art and Congress Square, this hotel offers easy access to the city's cultural and music scene — with a rooftop bar that delivers unbeatable skyline views.

Why Concert-goers love it

You'll be close to many of Portland’s best live music venues, which means less time commuting and more time enjoying the show. After the music fades, wind down at the rooftop Top of the East Lounge or take advantage of the hotel's quiet, upscale atmosphere for a peaceful night’s rest. The 4:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM checkout give you a bit of flexibility, and the central location means late-night rideshare options are always nearby.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for a stylish base near downtown
Solo travelers chasing that bucket-list setlist
Couples turning a show into a weekend retreat
Fans seeking rest after a high-energy night out
Budget-conscious travelers who still crave a touch of luxury

Food and Drink Options

Fuel up before or after the show at Congress Squared, the on-site restaurant serving up fresh New England cuisine all day. The rooftop Top of the East Lounge is perfect for a relaxing drink with a view. While there's no official 24/7 room service, the onsite dining options cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner — and you're surrounded by walkable restaurants and bars for late-night cravings.

Nightlife Options

The rooftop bar often has a lively but relaxed crowd — great for post-show drinks without having to leave the building. You're also within walking distance of local bars, lounges, and music joints, so you can keep the night going, or wind it down at your own pace.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the central location, clean and comfortable rooms, and the stunning rooftop views. Many mention the friendly service and the hotel’s calm, upscale vibe, making it a favorite for travelers who want easy access to everything Portland has to offer without the noise of a party hotel.

Areas for Improvement

Wi-Fi in guest rooms comes with a fee, which can be a small annoyance for those used to free access throughout. Parking is valet-only and can be pricey, so plan ahead if you're driving in. That said, with the hotel’s walkable location, you might not need a car at all.

The Bottom Line

With its rooftop bar, central location, and calm energy, The Westin Portland Harborview is a stylish and convenient home base for concert-goers looking to enjoy Portland’s music scene in comfort.

Kim, Rockport

Although the hotel itself was comfortable, trying to park our vehicle was a nightmare. Long lines waiting for the valet resulted in a scolding by a police officer, followed by parking our car a block from the hotel, resulting in us needing to walk with our bags. Also disappointing that it cost $29 for parking, not included in the cost of the hotel. Valet (if we could have gotten it) would have added $10 to the cost. WiFi not available unless you join a club that would undoubtedly result in added SPAM in the inbox.

Liked: Clean, comfortable hotel.
Disliked: WiFi only included if you "join a club". Parking not included in cost; valet service disorganized.

Very clean; very quiet and spacious rooms for 3 people. Had a wonderful time and everyone was very helpful with anything we needed. Thank you for a great trip!

C2 has an appetizer 1/2 price between 4 and 7 and $4 beer. Gourmet quality.

Liked: High: The C2 Restaurant.

It was a very pleasant stay! I enjoyed the large shower immensely and the beds were comfortable. It was a wonderful stay all the way around. And it was just a few short blocks from our concert.

Liked: Everyone was nice, helpful and were there when we needed.
Disliked: Prices of food was a little high.

Wouldn’t stay again.

Disliked: The staff at this hotel were not only unhelpful but also surprisingly rude. My friend and I—two young women traveling alone—arrived and asked the valet if he could park our car. Instead of a straightforward answer, he shrugged and said, “I don’t know, did you pay for valet?” We hadn’t even stepped inside the hotel yet and were left to park in the garage next door, which charged us a steep fee before we’d even checked in.At the front desk, we were given keycards that were supposed to work for in-and-out garage access. They didn’t. When we went back to ask about it, the woman at the front desk dismissively told us that yes, parking in the garage would cost even more—with zero courtesy in her tone. It genuinely felt like we were being treated differently because we were young women, especially compared to how we saw other guests being helped. On top of that, we couldn’t access the rooftop during our stay, and our room had no view of the city whatsoever. Overall, this was a disappointing and uncomfortable experience, and we left feeling unwelcome.

Liked: The room was clean, and the location is convenient—not far from downtown
Disliked: The air conditioning didn’t seem to allow us to set the temperature above 75°F. On a summer day, this meant it was running constantly, blowing freezing air directly toward us, which was quite uncomfortable.Second, there was confusion about breakfast. I had booked a room for three people with breakfast included. During check-in, the receptionist didn’t mention it, and when I asked, he said my reservation didn’t include breakfast. After checking my confirmation and seeing that breakfast was included, I returned to the front desk. A different receptionist was there and told me that I had breakfast for two people, not three. She gave me a kind of coupon for two. This was confusing and disappointing, as I had clearly booked for three. I also couldn’t find a way to verify the breakfast details in the app afterward.
