Disgusted and disappointed!
Liked: Location and front desk staff were very understanding of our disappointment in the hotel in general.
Disliked: Disappointed with how run down and dirty the rooms were. Mouldy smell in the rooms, rooms dark dingy. bathtubs fill up with water while taking a shower. we were told the hotel had been shut down during COViD and the rooms were left the way they were until it re opened. Upon check in, we were told no one will come to change towels or make bed during your stay unless you call the day before to book someone to come to your room to do so as we don?t have staff for that. We are paying for a service not just a bed to sleep in! We were put on a floor with juvenile hockey teams, playing in halls, running up and down and yelling. Bar downstairs was disorganized and was not serviced properly by inexperienced bartenders and servers. The hotel was at capacity with limited inexperienced staff to service two weddings, two hockey teams and a basketball team in addition to out of town guests. Why fill a hotel to the max when you are short staff and most of your employees are new and inexperienced. For a very reputable name as The Westin, the management should have opened its doors when it was ready with full experienced staff and cleaned, renovated, deodorized and up to the standards of a higher end hotel. our friends left in middle of night and we left as soon as we could in the morn. Thank you to Ji In at front desk who was exceptional in understanding and support at or check out.

Liked: We preferred Westin by a recommendation of a colleague. We stayed two nights in the room with an ocaean view. The view was amazing. However, if you are staying two people and need to work from the room - the room is a little small. Otherwise, it is a good choice. It is close to Immigration Museum, Harbour, supermarket and also car rental offices.
Disliked: If you prefer staying with breakfast included, please consider that some of the options in the menu are not included to the price. And unfortunately, there is no disclaimer about it on the menu. When you order, the waiter or the waitress tells you whether it is included or has an additional fee. For the sake of transparency and increased customer satisfaction, I highly recommend the hotel management to include disclaimers about additional fees to the breakfast menuI think the amenities in the room could have been better. There was Starbucks coffee option, however no bottle of water (people may not prefer drinking tap water). No shoehorn in the room, the ironing table was shaky.
