The place to stay in...

Liked: Comparing the accommodation to international hotels (U.S./Canadian/European/U.K.) it was was spacious, comfortable, private, quiet and as clean as it could possibly be and everything in the room was easy to find (eg hairdryer), use and worked properly - eg free to air TV was easy to activate and I wasn't forced to use pay TV. The room was a sensible temperature instead of like a sauna which makes sleep impossible. The hotel staff were helpful, friendly and polite and did not intrude. The lounge downstairs was relaxed and had something for everyone. There was also the option of formal dining upstairs. The dining room was fantastic for a delicious breakfast looking straight out onto Melbourne's beautiful historic buildings opposite.

Perfect for the City traveller.

Liked: Central, had all the expected amenities plus some, staff were lovely, room service was fabulous, added extras such as the calming balm for sleep were very thoughtful, beds and pillows super comfy.
Disliked: The room needs a deep clean. It was clean but things like the skirting boards need a good clean, inside the lamps were dusty, calcium build up in the shower. But overall it was good.
