Not only do they not offer breakfast any more, but they have also removed the microwaves from the rooms. So the hotel that has 10 floors or more, has one little microwave for your use. The mirrors were dirty and I had water left in my ice bucket from the previous guest. The bed was hard, far from the heavenly bed I slept in at The Westin in Florida.

Usual excellent service and comfortable...

Liked: As a gold elite member of the Bonvoy program, I received a nice executive suite upgrade.When I stayed at this property in May, I left some clothing in a drawer of my room. During this visit, I asked if housekeeping could recheck that room, which they did and found my lost clothing. I really appreciate the extra efforts made to return my effects.As usual, the food is great and one of the best bars I've ever visited.

It was a peaceful stay....

Liked: It was stylish and cute. Good location and great coffee cafe in the lobby. We enjoyed the rain shower head as well.
Disliked: There was much to not like. I was a lil annoyed that my room style/type wasn’t available. We prefer a king bed over a nice view. We made a smaller bed work and enjoyed the view.

I had a great night...

Liked: The guest service person at the desk warmly greeted us. He was courteous and asked us about our reason for visiting. I told him we were there to celebrate my nieces’ 50th birthday and we’re leaving on a 7 day cruise the next day. His response was a discount on stay, upgraded our room ( a beautiful night-view of the Long Beach Theater) and free breakfast. It was an exceptional hospitality gesture and added wonderfully to my niece’s birthday celebration!
Disliked: My niece (age 50) and I (age 67)arrived around 10 p after 5 hour late plane from the east coast. The employee standing in front of the hotel did not greet us or offer to assist with four pieces of luggage after it was taken out of taxi. He leaned on the podium and looked the other way. No other guests were present outside on our arrival. Once checked in, as we walked towards the elevator an employee at a podium stood there. He did not greet us, did not offer to help with luggage, did not even assist by pushing the elevator button or hold the elevator’s doors while we managed the four pieces of luggage. Are those employees there for decorations? I saw them doing nothing but they chose not to see me or give me a chance to accept or deny assistance. Not the kind of hospitality I expected at a Westin property.
