The Westin Long Beach

Not only do they not offer breakfast any more, but they have also removed the microwaves from the rooms. So the hotel that has 10 floors or more, has one little microwave for your use. The mirrors were dirty and I had water left in my ice bucket from the previous guest. The bed was hard, far from the heavenly bed I slept in at The Westin in Florida.

Disliked: No coffee or cups were in the room.

Pleasant, clean and friendly staff.

Liked: This hotel is clean, airy, and the staff is great. Friski greeted us upon arrival and her customer service was amazing! Good Customer service is so difficult to find these days, many times just feeling like another unimportant customer. Friski was welcoming, friendly and very pleasant. The location was excellent with much to walk to not far from hotel. If you're thinking about going over to Catalina Island for the day, this is an excellent option for staying here, leaving early morning for the day and returning back to hotel.
Disliked: At the rate this Westin charges, I feel they should cover their guest's parking and waive the $40.00 per day charge. We dined two nights at the hotel restaurant due to convenience, however, the choices were slim and the overall quality for the price, honestly lacked a bit. There are many other choices just up the street on Pine Ave.

Disliked: was charged fees that were never disclosed well after checking in, room service forgot many items, food ordered left me going to get fast food after due to being inedible, deli turkey sandwich from store had a BONE in it and they would not refund purchase, overly pretentious vibe from everyone, rude front staff members who clearly don't like their job and have no problem taking those personal issues out on paying customers, coffee bar closes early without notice

Liked: my boyfriend and i ordered breakfast from the restaurant downstairs and it was delicious! the potatoes were our favorite. they did forget to give us ketchup but when we called the restaurant back to ask if they can bring us some they quickly handled it and it arrived to our room literally no more than 5 minutes. the bedding and mattress were AMAZING ! overall the hotel was beautiful from the lobby to our room.
Disliked: what could’ve been better would’ve been free parking, we’re already paying a good amount of money to stay plus having breakfast and drinking at the bar but overall it was worth every dollar

Disliked: Our room is next to an electricity room and we can hear constant buzzing in the room. The pool was empty and we had to go to a hotel down the road and use their pool.Staff at both properties were all pretty useless. The cafe closed at 11 am. I think the hotel is overpriced for the quality of the hotel.I had to ask staff for soap for the sink. Tea and coffee facilities are dismal. The rooms are dark.
