Very noisy room on 2nd...

Liked: Location was excellent, and facilities were good
Disliked: We were given a room on the 2nd floor just above the outside bar/restaurant which plays loud music and is busy. We complained to the front desk on arrival (after a 10 hour flight) we were told by the receptionist that the hotel was full so could not change room. This was communicated without checking the hotels system or referring to a manager. We were then told music would stop at 10pm, which it didn’t went onto nearly 11pm. We had this for our 3 night stay which ruined our experience and considering the room rates we paid this was unsatisfactory.

Liked: The hotel and location were excellent
Disliked: We booked a king room but when we arrived at 3.30 pm there was not one ready, so we took a twin double on the second floor. It would have been an appropriate gesture to give us a king in a different category, but this was not an option.
