The family-run Western Hotel is located in the heart of Galway just off Eyre Square. The property offers free on-site parking spacious rooms with attached bathroom a restaurant and a cozy bar which hosts traditional Irish music every Wednesday & Thursday night. Consisting of three Georgian buildings the hotel offers an old-world style along with modern facilities Rooms at the Western have private bathrooms with baths showers and hairdryers. They also include tea/coffee making facilities. Freshly Cooked and continental breakfasts are served daily in the restaurant. 3-course evening meals are served and guests can enjoy a carvery a light lunch menu and an evening á la carte menu. Fine local produce is used in all meals. The bright and spacious Western Bar has a fine selection of drinks and shows major sporting events on large screen TVs. Guests also have access to the Snap Fitness gym for a surcharge of EUR 10 per session. Please contact the property for further information. Free on-site valet parking is available for all guests (height restriction is 7.2 ft) and Galway Bus and Train Stations are within a 5-minute walk. The Bold Art Gallery Galway Shopping Center and the Greyhound Stadium are also nearby.

The Western Hotel was perfect...

Liked: Good location. Family room was spacious- bigger than expected. The place was Clean and tidy. Bar and restaurant at the hotel was a perk. Staff were wonderful. There was construction happening so the entrance was a little different. the staff were helpful with recommendations for shopping and restaurants. Everything we needed was within a few blocks.
Disliked: Tiny parking area. People blocked us in.

Liked: Nice location. Parking available.
Disliked: Really uncomfortable bed.

Good hotel

Liked: Food was very good. Staff were friendly and efficient. Location was good.
Disliked: Valet parking was jam packed but worked out ok in the end.
