Liked: Great location, steps from hotel to the beach, clean and a good breakfast
Disliked: Bathroom needs updating

Great

Liked: A lovely restored Victorian hotel perched on the side of Ventnor cliff. Beautiful views. No lifts, and the rooms are at different levels and stairs. A long way down to the breakfast room. A very steep staircase down to the beach, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed.

Exceptional

Liked: Fantastic location with panoramic sea views from room balconies and extensive bar seating area. Hotel and rooms full of character with brilliant staff and excellent breakfast. Also recommend the Spyglass Inn for dinner.
Disliked: Landslip further down the road makes access to shops in the town challenging and you need to be fit to walk down a steep hill to the beach!

Charming seaside hotel with friendly...

Liked: This was my 3rd trip to this hotel, I just love the ambiance, it’s charming feel and the location.
Disliked: Due to a landslide on the road it wasn’t so easy to get into the town and parking was a bit of an issue.

Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

Liked: Location magnificent, service perfect and very friendly staff, spacious rooms, very clean and in good condition
Disliked: Some of the food for breakfast wasn’t so great especially the full English and the vegetarian breakfast need some brushing up

Liked the hotel but would...

Liked: Didn’t have breakfast
Disliked: There was a large party at the hotel which meant that the bar was reserved for the private party only. There was music playing at the party which kept us awake for some time. Through no fault of their own, access to the hotel was difficult due to landslide.

Fantastic location for clifftop hotel

Liked: Excellent staff who let us lock up our bikes inside with the security cameras. Quirky stairs down to the basement restaurant. Fantastic height above the cliff.
Disliked: It's not the hotel's fault - but the road closure made access a bit tricky.
