It was a great experience....

style over substance, definately not...

Liked: location, size of rooms
Disliked: cold and indifferent staff at check-in, bar staff made us unwelcome as a family. Our 6 and 7 year old daughters (seasoned travellers and well used to high-end hotels) were reprimanded by a bar staff member for the sole fact they had taken off their shoes to sit a bit more comfortable on the high sofas at the bar, bar staff member quoting "internal hotel rules". Seems easier to target a 6 and 7 year old rather than a half drunk adult. As such, don't go there with kids and take your money elsewhere, hotel only values childfree, high end adults it seems. We spent EUR 950 for one night/2 rooms, we will bring our money somewhere else next time in Dusseldorf.

Liked: Beautiful rooms, lovely concept of more than just a room. High ceilings very elegant!
Disliked: Restaurant could have been a bit more interesting
