Really nice apart from room...

Liked: Very nice pub and accommodation. Great food.
Disliked: Our room was next to a generator room so noisy all night.

We have stayed before and...

Liked: staff friendly and helpful. Food good. Bed comfortable and plenty of towels. Room clean but needed more attention (see below )
Disliked: .The room had been cleaned and there were plenty of towels and cleaning products. However the carpet(fawn ) was badly stained in a number of places and should have been shampooed. The grout in the shower was in need of repair and cleaning . There was rust on the wall as one entered the shower and marks on the wall in bathroom and bedroom and peeling paint by window. I am not a pernickety guest but these defects were so obvious and capable of simple repair on a day when the room was not being used and detracted form the overall impression.

Liked: Gorgeous room, friendly and helpful staff and fabulous breakfast
Disliked: Shame it was close to the road so you could hear the traffic (but not from our room and otherwise idealic)

Exceptional

Liked: It was perfectly placed for our visit to Petworth House, and horse racing at Fontwell. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was brilliant with lots of choice, and the room was very comfortable with fantastic views. Had a great night's sleep ! Good choice for breakfast too.

Lovely stay with lovely, friendly...

Liked: Very nicely converted old pub with very comfortable rooms. The breakfast was delicious and served in a large bright open space with gorgeous views.
Disliked: Next time I’d ask for a room which looks over the back as we looked onto the road. It meant we couldn’t open our window as we feared it’d be too noisy.

Liked: The room was very comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Food excellent. All very dog friendly
Disliked: Unfortunately my room faced the road and I found the traffic noise to be very disturbing. Although the volume of traffic overnight was less it did still continue. Heavy lorries started thundering by from 0630, each one causing the whole building to shake.Motorbikes roaring past at high speed from 0800 Sunday morning. There are other rooms facing away from the road and I would request one of these for a future stay
