Most beautiful location

Liked: Beautiful surroundings, really special view, can walk in stunning back gardens.
Disliked: We expected a better breakfast, they had issues with delivery so no croissants or pastries, coffee was bitter. No lift. Needs some upgrading, carpets ripped in few places, but overall it was a lovely stay.

Liked: It is visually beautiful from the outside but disappointing inside. We upgraded our room for the view and the view of the gardens was beautiful, no doubt, and extremely well looked after. Spa facilities are excellent. Location is superb.
Disliked: It’s very worn. Investment into this hotel could yield spectacular results. It is such a unique property and has some beautiful pieces of furniture but it also has very disappoint clashing g furniture, torn curtains, pillows that don’t work. It is not loved and it deserves to be. We weren’t directed to our room I had to return and ask where it was, we had to go up two flights of stairs with our luggage. The breakfast was basic. There’s a huge welcome for dogs. Not so much for children. There is no lighting at the gate lodge so it’s easy to miss if returning at night.

Exceptional

Liked: The gardens were beautiful and the rooms had everything you’d need. The food was lovely and the drinks were reasonably priced.
Disliked: The two fans in the room didn’t do much in the heat, they were also caked in dust.

Good location and potential but...

Liked: Lovely looking building. Good location with cycle path all the way into Stratford
Disliked: Dated and our apartment wasn’t very clean and smelt of drains. We reported the drains immediately but nothing was done about it and no alternative was offered. Even a few more air fresheners would have helped! I suspect it has been a problem for a while as the apartment was full of air fresheners!

Disliked: Younger staff who could be quite clueless or rude

Nephews wedding weekend

Liked: Hotel very spacious. Lovely landscape,terraces, very relaxing . Just sat enjoying the view and had a few alcohol beverages.
Disliked: Drinks were very expensive.
