Not good as road works...

Liked: The grounds (outside)!!
Disliked: Poor communication about dates of roadworks. They did not inform after booking that there would be roadworks which cost us a great amount of money, if I had been informed I would have cancelled. Taxi fares tripled during our stay. A normal £10 trip cost £35. Very tired and old, stains on sofas carpets ripped.

Don’t go here if you...

Liked: Beautiful surroundings lovely old building very comfortable room but unable to access bath despite giving up an executive for a ground floor room the Room was Not suitable for those with disabilities
Disliked: Not being able to get room till 4pm. Not being able to use swimming pool between 4-6pmBreakfast was awful. Cold and tasteless and again those with walking mobility issues having to get their own tea etc. for the price I would have expected a choice of breakfast and table service

Absolutely loved everything!

Liked: Beautiful location, stunning views and good value for money! Would definitely stay here again! General manager rodger really friendly and welcoming
Disliked: Reception staff dan and sinead are very miserable and unorganised, apart from that loved everything

Lovely hotel, but not worth...

Liked: Room was large and spacous with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a good quality full english buffett. The grounds, though not in bloom, where still lovely to walk around.
Disliked: Access to the Spa was overpriced and not worth it. It felt less 'Spa' and more like a leasure centre with extra areas. The pool was also cold with what seemed like no heating.

Exceptional

Disliked: Everything was excellent the view, the comfortable bed, the spa, staff etc, however the down side was the food, which wasn’t great, to meet the expectations of the place.
