The Waverley Hotel

Visited for a wedding, well...

Liked: Well located in a cute village and above a nice pub
Disliked: Slightly noisy pub, but noise cut out at the right time

Liked: The evening meals were excellent. The breakfast was limited but OKThe room was good
Disliked: There were no real issues

A comfortable and friendly stay...

Liked: Great location - short walk to the meadows with free parking in the streets around the corner. The staff were exceptional. Helpful and friendly. The family room was huge and the beds were really comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and there was lots of it. We would happily stay here again.
Disliked: I had misread the facilities, thinking there was a dedicated car park. There isn’t, but we had no trouble finding a spot just off the road around the corner. The Main Street is busy so our family room at the front of the hotel was quite noisy at times. It wasn’t bothersome though and as we’d been up since 3.30am that morning, there was very little that was going to keep us awake!

Liked: Very nice hotel in a lovely village with nice gift shops in it. There's even a christmas shop in it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was really good as well dinner and breakfast. Would recommend this hotel

Disliked: No check in system staff seemed more interested in serving drinks, food was ok but not value for money, problem with tv in room which wasn't sorted

good enough stay staff and...

Liked: breakfast was great wife's vegetarian sausage was overcooked but plenty of juice and pastries available service was excellent
Disliked: no biscuits with tea on offer no toiletries not even soap handrail on bath was broke stair access wasn't great and most of all no private car park had to park car at end of the town
