Liked: The pub over the road. The stream / mill.
Disliked: Had to change rooms twice (3 rooms) : broken mirror, stained carpets, broken door lock, holes in the towels, plug missing off kettle, view of rubbish. Tatty, dirty; worst hotel ever stayed in in my whole life.

Disliked: There were no family rooms and double or single rooms in the same bock which we needed as a family with 3 kids

Disliked: On entry to my room there was heavy staining to the carpet, dust on surfaces and a broken mirror over the desk. Hairs on the bed made me look closer to find deep urine stains to the mattress protector. Disgusting.I went to reception. The manager transferred me to another room, at first look it appeared cleaner, but I could see large blood stains on the duvet and a clean cover put back on it, the stains showed through it. The mattress protector also has dotted blood stains. I went back to the manager again. He transferred me to another room and came with me. On entry to the third room again heavy staining to the carpet. I mentioned this to the manager and he said 'oh don't you worry about that'. I looked again at the bed, pulled the sheet back and there was a huge deep urine stain on the mattress protector. The manager simply said 'Well if you're going to check the beds to that level you're going to find marks on all of them, that's what the protector is for'. I told him it's totally unacceptable to pay almost £100 to sleep on beds covered in other guests urine and blood stains with stained carpets. Mattress protectors should be washed. As a former hotel manager for over 13 years this hotel and the manager's attitude to the stains with no regard for hygiene is unbelievable. I am extremely disappointed. Do not stay here. Rooms are disgraceful.
