Amenities are excellent

Liked: The facility as a whole was great, staff was phenomenal overall. Our check in was very rocky and the room did not meet our expectations at all but besides our check in attendant the rest of the staff and amenities made or stay very comfortable
Disliked: Check in attendant didn't really answer or clarify questions we had as we checked in that evening, the room booked did not meet the picture viewed or our thoughts for a upscale hotel.

overall, the people were fantastic...

Liked: the people make this property. outstanding staff from front door to front desk to maintenance to servers and restaurant team members, breakfast and lounge.
Disliked: the gym has dated treadmills and the lights go out in the entire gym while you’re on the treadmill if no one else is in there. the first night I was there, the lights in my room wouldn’t turn off. maintenance came and was not able to fix it so I had to move rooms and the room I was moved to was not as nice as the room I was originally in. the front desk was accommodating and said they’re comp my breakfasts but then the breakfasts ended up being charged to me anyway so that was a bit of hassle trying to clear that up. Also, I paid for my entire stay in advance, and then the card I presented at check in (for incidentals and extra charges) was charged for my entire stay! so untilthat got cleared up. I was out of pocket for the cost of the entire 6 days on two forms of payment. not a great feeling.

Liked: Rainforest spa shower, heavenly king bed and extra room to do my daily pilates in room or at fitness center. The hotel has panels in wood curved like a Darwinesque vessel.
Disliked: Helicopters seem to keep following me around washington dc like a buzzfeed. Not sure what that's about.
