Liked: Our room was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The reception staff were not very welcoming. They weren't rude but they seemed disinterested in customers in general (not just towards us) Also I booked a long weekend here for my wife and I to celebrate our 60th birthdays and 35th wedding anniversary. We were looking forward to using the pool and spa facilities and just generally chilling there but due to unforeseen circumstances these facilities were closed during our stay. I understand that "these things happen" but the trip was a complete waste of money. We weren't offered a partial refund, or even a voucher towards a meal or some drinks. The whole point of us booking this particular hotel was to use the spa/pool facilities but we weren't able to. We may as well have stayed in a Premier Inn. I would like to give a shout out to the gentleman who cleans the rooms however. He had the biggest smile and was so friendly. How ironic that quite probably the lowest paid member of staff was in fact the most cheerful, polite and approachable person we came across here.

Liked: The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was great and huge. The pool and spa facilities were really good, really clean, modern and spacious.
Disliked: The breakfast could have been a lot better. It felt very basic compared to the rest of the experience. There was also very limited supplies. All the pastries has run out when we arrived and were only stocked up with a couple when we were leaving. The hot buffet also ran out and we had to wait a while for replacements. The breakfast cereal range was very bog standard. I'd have expected something a little more to match the standard of the room and other facilities.
