The Walper Hotel part of JdV by Hyatt

The young men at the front desk, who greeted me, were fabulous, professional but fun. They were interested in the reason for my stay, felt like family. The room was so clean and comfortable, very quiet. I will return, it was such a great part of my trip.

Liked: From the moment I was greeted to the time I left I felt like I was the most important guest in this hotel. Everyone was kind and considerate; the room exactly what I needed. Clean, no nasty smells, felt like being at home. The parking garage was convenient, I could leave my car parked for the duration of my stay.
Disliked: That I cannot afford to live here. It was all great!

Parking is an issue - don't bring your big trucks as you will not get into the garage Parking. Thank goodness we brought our car. For the price of the room, they should cover our Parking fee.

Liked: Location to the center of the square, for the concert. Walking distance.
Disliked: Parking - had to pay $20 and change for parking across the road. Not easy to unload your items.

Liked: It was funky.
Disliked: There was a lot of street noise in the early morning from the waste collection services in the area.

I always love my stay...

Liked: The cleanliness and the comfortable bed were excellent. The room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. The location is great.
Disliked: Not a lot of counter space in the bathroom. The restaurant dinner menu wasn't as interesting as in the past. There were some issues with the television connection.

Superb

Liked: Great location in the centre of town. The hotel has a historic feel but felt very upgraded with modern touches. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: I felt that the breakfast was underwhelming and the food delivery was slow. The service was friendly and attentive.

After some anxiety the stay...

Liked: The staff were lovely and very welcoming. Our King Room was very clean and well appointed. The parking arrangements were across the road in a new facility which was very high-tech.
Disliked: We tried twice without success to reach the front desk by phone to inquire about parking arrangements for check-in and overnight. We ended up not knowing where to park for check-in so we drove around the block a couple of times before parking illegally for check-in. The was not clear on-line how the parking would work until it was explained to us at the front desk. The overnight parking arrangements ended up to be very good. Best to communicate by e-mail or through the website.The room size was very adequate for our purpose but felt smaller than the 28 m2 size, which I am sure it was.
