Liked: Breakfast was good, but I would have preferred a set price version
Disliked: The pool closed early so didn’t get chance to relax.

Liked: The location was great for a last minute decision to have a night away post a trip to a local national trust building. We came for the wine list!
Disliked: The spa facilities felt a little jaded and the ladies bathroom was out of service, which meant walking through the hotel in a wet swimsuit to use the facilities. The price point also felt quite high relative other boutique hotels with spas we have stayed at, with the restaurant and service not _quite_ as good as we would have expected.

Very good. it's not spectacular...

Liked: great food, very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and copious hot water in the morning
Disliked: my room was looking a little bit tired and old fashioned. Probably a makeover due soon

Great family weekend away

Liked: Great stay. Lovely room, good food and wine. The spa looks a little dated but overall facilities good. We had a noisy neighbour one night and the hotel kindly moved a of our belongings into another room so we didn’t have to lift a finger. A nice touch.
