Located in the center of Cambridge with valet parking near the edge of the River Cam The Varsity Hotel and Spa offers modern rooms and an impressive rooftop terrace with uninterrupted views. Each room is named after a different Cambridge college and features an LCD TV DVD library free Wi-Fi and an iPod dock. Most rooms offer monsoon showers and under-floor heating. Some rooms have balconies and views of the college rooftops. Inspired by traditional Cambridge The Varsity offers guests access to the Glassworks Gym and Spa with hot tub steam room sauna and exercise classes. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Kings College Chapel Trinity College and the majority of the Cambridge colleges. The Grand Arcade shopping center is 10 minutes' walk away and there are a number of restaurants bars and cafes close by.

good location - bad wifi...

Liked: The location they have is great and the team was always polite and helpful.
Disliked: Some things I wish had been better - especially at the price point of £250 a night. There was no hot water for a shower at 10am on Tuesday. The wifi is so weak / slow in the room as to be unusable.

Highly recommend for a city...

Liked: The location is superb. Easy walking distance into town/cafes and restaurants, the river and colleges.Valet parking is another huge advantage.The restaurant and rooftop bar are key features and made our stay very special. Panoramic views and great service. Cocktails and meals delicious. The rooms are comfortable and clean and staff really welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: The only small criticism is the lack of any lounge/ seating area as you enter. Reception is quite small and whilst there is a comfortable two seater sofa there isn’t a space to relax downstairs before/after heading out for the day.

Midsummer pit stop

Liked: Great central location with lovely views. Town was very busy - Midsummer festival plus more. Impressive restaurant staff. Very efficient and friendly. Thanks to James for the warm welcome.”
Disliked: Our room was very small and cramped so not great value for money. Hard to open suitcases anywhere except on the bed. GPS address was also tricky to find. Suggested for peace of mind whilst $$ valet parking
