Good

Liked: The hotel is in a vibrant neighbourhood - many options of bars and restaurants around. Room had a decent size and kitchen had basic utensils. Bed and bathroom were good as well as airconditioning to warm the temperature as room gets very cold on cold days.
Disliked: Room stank of cigarretes (if though smoking was not allowed) and carpet had many stains. My room faced the backstreet on the first floor and it was noisy very early in the morning when garbage men collected the garbage from the streets. Room is also very cold....had to turn on air conditioning to warm the space. No breakfast avaiable and parking lt cost AUD65/day.

Pretty cool place

Liked: King bed is perfect for the taller traveller! The location is fantastic - close to public transport and the buzzing Enmore road precinct. It's a cool spot and modern clean and feels contemporary and "cool". The curtains are perfect blackout curtains for a jet lagged traveller! I liked the amount of local art in the foyer areas and the Magee on the outside of the building. (Would be nice to have a library of local authors to pick through too! )Would definitely recommend as a cool place to stay!
Disliked: The staff are not strong communicators. Eg I emailed my flight times into Sydney. And still got a phone call checking my arrival (which was within reception hours.) they admitted not reading my message until after they called. For someone on a long haul flight email correspondence is everything. Bizarrely I was notified of my free beer during my stay AFTER I checked out... Not at check in. And that it is only 1 beer per room... So I should share it with my travelling companion? Um why bother offering this at all?The fridge was set on low and melted ice onto the floor. Then it was set too high and froze everything we put in there.Also an insistent housekeeper wanted to mop up the leaking fridge at the exact moment I was fresh out of the shower, and laughed when I asked for 5 minutes to get some clothes on? Bizarre. So communication style and frequency and tone could improve, particularly for the money we are paying.
