Great spot for a Santa Barbara Bowl visit. Pretty short walk and very quiet hotel. Nice staff and breakfast included.

Liked: Nice quiet hotel; friendly staff. Room was very clean.
Disliked: The shower didn't have a lot of water pressure.

Stayed one night, left right...

Liked: Our room was clean.
Disliked: Arriving after dark is a mistake. The property is not well lit, and finding your cottage is difficult in the dark. There is little to no signage, and without lighting at night, you might as well have the staff escort you to your room. During our time there we went to the front desk several times. Each time no one was there. The front staff were almost non-existent. Tables were dirty for breakfast as well. The whole property seems dated and there was a lack of conveniences in the room itself (outlets near the beds, chargers on the nightstands, etc) that you get when staying elsewhere. Parking on the property is a hit or miss proposition. There are not enough spaces available for everyone.

Underwhelming

Liked: Good location nice gardens
Disliked: The room smelt damp, missing lightbulbs, very patchy WiFi at best, carpet and bath/shower curtain felt grubby, toiletries were insufficient for 2 people and due to a large function in the garden we were effectively trapped in our room for several hours

A grand old day and...

Liked: Main building lovely with sitting areas that were very nice
Disliked: The outbuilding we were in was a series of five rooms on the second floor quite frankly very substandard. The room was clean. The bathroom was clean but for over $400 a night I felt that was being ripped off. There was only a continental breakfast no restaurant and the pastry in the council breakfast were although good some of them were still.

Liked: Comfortable bed in a large room with plenty of storage space.Staff is very helpful and friendly. Wine in the evening was pleasant
Disliked: No bathroom amenities, e.g, body lotion, shower cap, etc. Hair shampoo was a combined conditioner that was not effective. For an older couple, lifting bags to the upstairs bedroom would be challenging

Gorgeous grounds and excellent location...

Liked: I loved the charm and character of the facilities. It’s beautiful! The person at the front desk was really sweet and kind. It’s also in walking distance of real yummy and fun spots!
Disliked: The cleanliness was shockingly bad for $440 a night. Hair on the bathroom counters and floors, stains all over the carpet, cobwebs, and dust and grime on the wall treatment. My husband and I were looking forward to a night in and putting a show/movie on but the tv didn’t work and the front desk said they didn’t know how the tv works.
