Comfortable stay. Would use again...

Liked: Friendly host.Comfy bed.Good shower.Tasty breakfast.Relaxed outside seating.Cask ales available and convenient nearby pub (Brickmakers Arms) with excellent cask ales (from Burton Bridge Brewery).
Disliked: Only some minor points. :-)Kitchen is closed for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays (the nights I stayed) and there are no other dining or food shopping options in the small village. The large wall-mounted TV screen in the room is (as far as I'm concerned) unnecessary, oversized and dominates the otherwise very comfortable room.My room (no. 3) faced onto the street and noise from occasional traffic was noticeable, especially with the windows open (in warm weather this was preferable to keeping the windows shut and getting uncomfortably warm).

Great location, big room and...

Liked: Large and spacious with a big comfortable bed, coffee machine and biscuits were a nice touch. Unfortunately we did not spend much time in the room.
Disliked: The room door felt very thin and possibly not soundproof. We worried we woke up other guests when we got back to the hotel in the early hours. We could not open the bathroom window, so it was very steamy in there.

Good

Liked: Overall good.
Disliked: I booked a pub for accommodation to have food etc that evening. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Disappointed that not aware while booking that food wasn’t being served on some nights. Also unfortunate that the shower went cold after only 2 mins.

Work stay

Liked: The room was in annex, building a rear of main building and very quiet and pleasant
Disliked: The in bath shower was rather small, there was no fridge in the room which was little disappointing, but more annoy to me is there is only on single socket behind the bed and and a further 2 on the other side of the room.
